FORDS VS CHEVYS
BY NICHOLAS BONNEMA
I am doing my essay on whether a ford is better than a chevy or a chevy is better than a ford. On the internet some of the kids and adults on wiki answers are saying that fords all the way and some others are saying that they would rather have a chevy than a ford, but there are a few that are saying that they are the same and they would pick them both if they could and that there is no difference. Half of the kids in my class would rather have a chevy and half would rather have a ford.
Fords were the first car to be made and they were the first american car that was based in Dearborn, Michigan a suburb of Detroit. The maker of ford was Henry Ford. The ford motor company will be partnering with Coulomb Technologies to provide nearly 5000 free service stations for powering their cars at their house or wherever they go. The alternative fossil fuel vehicles, such as some versions of the Crown Victoria especially in fleet and taxi service, operate on compressed natural gas—or CNG. Some CNG vehicles have dual fuel tanks – one for gasoline, the other for CNG – the same engine can operate on either fuel via a selector switch. Ford also make buses for school and buses to travel on in the cities for example. They also build automobiles, trucks, and tractors.
Chevy was produced by GM (General Motors) and was founded by Louis Chevrolet and ousted GM founder William C. Durant on November 3, 1911. The Chevrolet division is currently recovering from the economic downturn of 2007–2010. After sales of GM vehicles plummeted and when the U.S Government bailed out the company, GM began developing more fuel efficient cars and trucks in order to compete with foreign automakers such as Toyota and Honda.
In comparison they both make sweat cars that have good horse power they both make cars for racing for nascar.

LAPTOPS VS IPADS
BY NICK BONNEMA
Laptops would be better than ipads because some kids say that they are doing better in school since they got them, and that the laptops are better than ipads. Even though ipads are smaller than laptops doesn't mean they are better at helping kids at education. Even though ipads are smaller than laptops, laptops are much bigger help and some kids education, but to some they think that ipads are better than laptops. The kids that use laptops say that they help them and that the notes are a lot esier than just writing them and they take up very little space compared to all the note books and books that the teachers give you that you have to put in your locker and have to carry to your next class. If you had a laptop you would carry only one thing which is your laptop.
This guy did a test on which one is better and he said that the laptop was way better than the ipad because he typed the fastest of 1 minute and 42 seconds on the laptop and 3 minutes and 5 seconds on the ipad. They say that laptops are cheaper than ipads and that they weigh less than a laptop. A lot of the kids in our school and in my class say that they would prefer a laptop than a ipad because if you had an ipad and you wanted to type a paper out and it had to be fast you would have to buy a whole noter keyboard to be able to type notes that you have to type. So if you really want to carry a key board with the heavy ipad and whatever else you have to carry around go ahead get a ipad but you will regret your choice when you suffer to have to carry those things around. On some of the internet sites the college students are even saying that laptops are better than ipads because they are easier to type with. Some of the kids in lower grades are saying that the ipads are better than laptops because you can get games on it and that you can do anything that you want on the ipad but they don't know that you can play games and take notes on the laptop and that it is less expensive and weighs less than an ipad. So some of my friends and I would suggest to get a laptop over an ipad.
So we would definently recomend getting a laptop because they can be chaper than a ipad and some of them can be lighter but not all of them are the lightest but they can be.

The Hunger Games
The title of this book is The Hunger Games and the author of The Hunger Games is Suzanne Collins its genre is fiction. The hunger games takes place after the destruction of North America in a nation known as Panem. Panem consists of a wealthy nation that is surrounded by 12 unwealthy districts, which we start in district 12. The main character is Katniss who is a 16 year old girl that lives in Panem, the other characters are Katniss’s sister, mom, Gale, and Peeta who Katniss knows only from school and who lives in a bakery. Once a place known as North America now lies the nation of Panem. Twelve districts outlying the cruel capitol. To remind the districts of their past they have to send one girl and one boy between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death. When twelve year old Prim is chosen for the tribute of District Twelve, Her older sister, Katniss takes her place. She has been close to death before, but with little hope and a promise to come home. The boy for district twelve was Peeta Mellark.
This would and wouldn't be a good book to read. It would be a good book for adults and teenagers to read but it wouldn't be a good book for little kids to read because it can be kinda gruesome when they are fighting in the arena. The beginning of the book is getting to know about Katniss and her sister and mom. There mom is not doing good. There mom got depressed when their dad died in an accident. Katniss likes to go out of the electric fence to go hunting. The electric fence is for protecting them from the wild animals. Then Katniss describes what the hunger games is and that she would have to enter her name more than once. When it comes time to pick the district twelve’s participants they call Prim, when Katniss hears that she doesn't want her sister in there so she volunteers herself instead of Prim. My favorite part of the book was when Katniss and Peeta enter on fire and when they announce that there can be two winners.

“THE SNOW STORM”
BY NICK BONNEMA
As I was walking from my house to my cousin Christian’s house in Colorado. it started to snow, we live about a mile away and I like to walk to his house. I was starting to get cold and wet, when all of a sudden I heared a semi horn blaring at me. I didn’t know what to do so I start to run, but, it keeped getting closer and closer to me when all of a sudden It passed, and when it passed I feel a sharp object on the tip of the semi and I went flying to the side because of the wind of the semi and I feel a warm liquid on my arm and I look down to see blood gushing out of my left arm and I feel a tingling sensation on my right arm. I lift my head up to the smell of something burning i look towards the semi and there is a big flame and a bunch of smoke pouring out from the semi. All I hear are tires squealing and people screaming and calling 911 because I am lying here not moving. Five minutes later I hear sirens from ambulances, fire trucks, and police cars. Then I hear a chopper land to take me to the hospital. but then the chopper takes off and I am still lying here. I heard a man say that I was going to be okay and everything will be fine. Two minutes after they hook ivies and more blood because “I was losing blood fast” says the doctor. They loaded me onto a gurney (which is a rolling bed) and roll me in the back of an ambulance to take me to the hospital. After I think, about five minutes we get to the hospital, then they get me out of the ambulance and wheel me in when I hear a voice tell me “Hi my name is Dr. McSuleeney and I will take care of you while you are here.” Then he starts to ask me all these questions like, “where are you from? What were you doing out in the blizzard today?” Then he said that they had to do surgery on my leg. So we get in the room and they rip my clothes off and put on a gown. Then they hooked me up to a thing to check my blood pressure. They start to wheel me into this other room to do the surgery. Then this girl started to talk to me so we talked and then I was out. They woke me up and they said that the surgery went well and that it took three hours to repair my leg, they said that I lost a lot of blood but I should be fine in an hour or 2. They explained that I was in the hospital and they said that I might have amnesia for a while but it should go away. Then my parents came and stayed for a while. They were talking to me when the doctor came in and asked “Do you have any pain”? and I said ”No I’m not having a lot of pain on my leg but my arm is feeling weird, but otherwise Ill be fine”. Then he said “I have to check on your leg to make sure that it is not bleeding and healing and getting better” I said. After about six days in the hospital they say that I can finally go home, and he said that I should stay in bed and rest. While I was laying in my bed, my cousin George came to see me. he asked “ How are you feeling” “I am feeling fine thanks for wondering”. “How are you your mom and your dad doing at your house”? “My parents are fine and our dogs are just fine”. “I was expecting you to come over when I got a call from your parents that said that you were in the hospital because you got hit in the arm and they said that in surgery they had to amputate your leg, so I came down as soon as I was done with school”. “WHAT?, I have an amputated leg, the doctor never told me that, and neither did my parents”. Then my parents came in and wandered why I was screaming. “Why are you screaming so bloody murder?” “Why didn’t you tell me that my leg was amputated?” “Because we knew that you would be mad and wouldn’t accept it.” “So now I have to live without a leg and can’t do all the stuff that I want like: soccer, basketball, and baseball.” “Well you can but you will have to get a fake leg in order to do all that.” Then they said that if I get one that I would have to be careful with it so it doesn’t break. “I’m not going to get one of those fake leg things.” “Well you either get a fake leg or you can’t do the stuff that you want.” “Fine I will get a fake leg but it is going to be hard to get used to it.” So I went to the doctor the next day and he gave me a choice on what leg I could have. I picked the one that I like the best and it will do good for when I do sports. Now after five years I can do everything that I used to.

Depression
Depression
Depression is as black as a hole in the ground
It sounds like a train in full throttle
It tastes like tears
It smells like a cloudy closed attic room
And it feels like you are being stabbed.
SO DON’T BE DEPRESSED
